This Privacy Policy describes how Apex Realty (“Apex,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit apexillinois.com, contact us through the site, or use our property-search tools. Short version: We collect what you give us (contact form data, saved searches, valuation requests) and standard web analytics. We don’t sell your personal information. We do share property-search activity with our IDX Broker MLS partner so the listings tools work. You can email us anytime to access, correct, or delete what we have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Contact requests: name, email, phone, and message when you submit a form, request a home valuation, or schedule a showing.
  • Account & saved-search data: if you create an account on our listings portal (powered by IDX Broker), the email and search preferences you enter.
  • Transaction-related information: additional details required to represent you in a real estate transaction (collected separately from the website under a representation agreement).

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored in your browser to keep you logged into saved-search tools, remember preferences, and measure site performance.
  • Listing-search behavior: the properties you click, save, and search criteria you enter inside the IDX Broker tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the real estate services you request.
  • Match you with relevant listings and email saved-search updates if you opt in.
  • Improve the website — understand which pages are useful, fix problems, and plan new content.
  • Meet our legal and professional obligations as an Illinois-licensed real estate brokerage.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use first-party cookies to remember preferences and IDX Broker session cookies to power saved-search and favorite-listing features. We use Google Analytics (or a comparable analytics tool) to measure aggregate traffic patterns — this data is used to make the site better, not to identify individual visitors.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may break login, saved searches, and other interactive features.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

The website relies on a small number of trusted vendors. Each receives only the data needed to perform its role:

  • IDX Broker powers the MLS search, listing detail pages, saved searches, and favorites. Your searches and account info inside listings.apexillinois.com are governed by IDX Broker’s privacy practices.
  • Hosting and form delivery are handled by our white-labeled hosting partner. Contact-form submissions are stored on our servers and delivered to our Apex inbox.
  • Email & CRM tools we use to follow up on contact requests (such as scheduling and email systems). We only place your contact information in tools required to serve you.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not allow third parties to use your data for their own marketing.

5. Listing Data & MLS Disclosures

Property listings displayed on this site come from the RMLS Alliance Multiple Listing Service via IDX Broker. The listing data is provided for personal, non-commercial use by prospective buyers and may not be used for any purpose other than to identify properties you may be interested in purchasing.

6. Your Choices

  • Email: every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it to stop receiving that type of email immediately.
  • Saved searches: log into your listings.apexillinois.com account to pause, edit, or delete saved searches and favorites.
  • Access, correction, deletion: email info@apexillinois.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
  • Do Not Track: we do not respond to browser DNT signals at this time, but disabling cookies achieves a similar result.

7. Data Retention

We keep contact requests for up to seven years to support follow-up communication and meet recordkeeping rules that apply to real estate brokerages in Illinois. Saved-search and account data inside IDX Broker is retained per IDX Broker’s policy until you delete the account.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect the information we hold — encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on internal systems, and regular software updates. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by Illinois law.

9. Children

This website is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and significant changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
